Joint Venture with Polo Club and Lions Club East for a day or riding organized by Beneath The Stars - March 27 2010 back

30 children, their faces shining with excitement, entered the Polo Club riding arena. On that exceptional Saturday afternoon, these select few happily donned their school uniforms for a special outing.

After many weeks of careful planning among the Singapore Polo Club, Lions Club East and Beneath The Stars, these underprivileged children were given the opportunity to learn the basics of horse riding.

The children were split into 2 groups which alternated between pony rides and stable management. Daniel, the riding coach, gave each group a briefing on how to control a horse while riding it, with a live demonstration around the ring. He also taught the children some fundamentals of stable management, such as how to groom a horse.

Lunch followed after, where everyone dined on spaghetti, nuggets, pizza, Ribena and ice cream at the Club’s restaurant. Clowns were brought in to entertain the children, who brought and shaped balloons during lunch.

The fun occasion rounded off with a bang and memories were captured in the form of Polaroids taken and sponsored by the Singapore Polo Club, set in picture frames sponsored by Ken from GRC.

Thank You Singapore Polo Club, Lions Club East, and Ken from GRC for your support!
