President’s Challenge 2009 - July 12 2009 back
Beneath The Stars has been significantly involved in the President’s Challenge 2009, collaborating with other organizations to generate funds for the needy in Singapore. Among the avenues that Yang Lay has created for people to contribute was the Istana Open House on 2th August 2009. At the event, members of the public were invited to bid for exclusive pieces specially designed for the President’s Challenge.
On 12thJuly 2009, Yang Lay and Thomas, the co-founders of Beneath The Stars, participated in the annual Charity Briyani Extravaganza at the Khalid Mosque. President S R Nathan and Mrs Nathan were guests of honour at the lunch, and His Excellency presented Yang Lay with a Trophy of Appreciation in recognition of Beneath The Stars’ enthusiastic efforts and support.
